Straight Up Convenient Teeth Straightening

There are several reasons why your teeth might be misaligned. Genetics, habits like thumbsucking in early childhood, illness, and injury are all potential factors. As many as nine out of ten people have misaligned teeth — you are not alone.

The good news is that you don’t have to spend your life feeling dissatisfied with a crooked, gappy, or crowded smile. Teeth straightening brings confidence and a healthy future to your smile.

At COCO Dental, we offer two effective orthodontic solutions:
Invisalign® clear aligners and traditional fixed braces. Both options provide excellent smile-enhancing benefits, catering to different preferences and needs.

Why Straighten Your Teeth?

Improved Confidence

Crooked teeth can make you self-conscious about smiling. If you hide your teeth during social situations, we can improve their appearance and boost your confidence.

Increased Risk of Tooth Decay and Gum Disease

When your teeth are not straight, they can be difficult to clean. Some surfaces won’t get brushed properly, and bacteria will build up. This leads to gum disease and tooth decay. Aligning your teeth makes brushing and flossing easier, improving the health of your smile.

Uneven Wear to Your Teeth

When your upper and lower teeth don’t align correctly, the surfaces can become worn. Excessive enamel wear leads to sensitivity and makes you more prone to developing cavities.

Speech Problems

Some problems with the position of teeth can affect speech. If you have a speech issue because of malocclusion, clear aligner treatment could help.

Difficulty Chewing and Digesting Food

If your bite isn’t aligned, it affects your ability to chew. You may swallow food before breaking it down in your mouth. This affects digestion and can increase the risk of gastrointestinal problems.

Better Jaw Health

Misaligned teeth can strain your jaw, particularly around the joint. Correcting your teeth’s position reduces this tension, alleviating any referred pain it may cause in your neck, shoulder, back, face, or head.

Smile Confidently With Invisalign®

Invisalign® is the world’s most popular clear aligner treatment —and there’s a reason. Instead of fixed brackets and wires, Invisalign® creates beautiful smiles using discrete and convenient removable aligners.

Your bespoke virtually invisible aligner creates just the right amount of force to push your teeth into a new position. Invisalign® works in stages. Each step takes around two weeks and uses a new aligner. Your next aligner may look like the last one, but it’s not. Slight differences in the precision design take the treatment forward.

Mealtimes are not an issue with Invisalign®. Simply remove your aligner whenever you eat or drink and replace it when you’re done! The same applies to brushing your teeth.

Invisalign® Benefits

So Subtle

The translucent Invisalign® aligners are shaped to teeth. Your smile will effortlessly shine through from below.

Painless and Comfortable

There are no uncomfortable adjustments, and wearing your aligner will feel like a breeze. It won’t even bother you while you sleep.

Completely Tailored

Every treatment is planned using powerful software, which creates a truly accurate treatment plan with very predictable outcomes.

Total Convenience

Invisalign® aligners are easy to remove, replace, and clean. After quickly getting used to your aligner, treatment will feel effortless.

Your Invisalign® Treatment Explained

Invisalign® treatment starts with a comprehensive assessment where we will check that the treatment is right for you and take scans of your smile. Using the latest software, we can show you a preview of the results we can achieve. When you love what you see, we can start planning your treatment.

We’ll then provide you with a series of custom-made clear aligners to wear throughout the day, gradually moving your teeth into their ideal position. You’ll switch to a new set of aligners approximately every 1-2 weeks as directed by your dentist, with each new set applying gentle pressure to continue your tooth movement.

Every treatment is unique, and the duration will vary depending on the severity of your misalignment, age, and other health factors.

We can predict how long your treatment should take during the initial assessment: Simple cases usually take from 6-12 months, while more complex cases may take 18-24 months or longer.

Traditional Fixed Braces: A Tried and True Solution

While Invisalign® offers a modern approach to orthodontics, traditional fixed braces remain a highly effective and reliable option for teeth straightening.

Fixed braces consist of brackets attached to your teeth, connected by wires that are periodically adjusted to guide your teeth into their ideal positions.

Every treatment is tailored and unique, so you get completely accurate tooth movements and a beautiful-looking smile.

Modern Advancements in Fixed Braces

Today’s fixed braces are more comfortable and less noticeable than ever before. Options include:

Ceramic Braces

These use tooth-coloured or clear brackets for a more discreet appearance.

Self-Ligating Braces

These require fewer adjustments and can be more comfortable than traditional braces.

Lingual Braces

Attached to the back of your teeth, these offer a truly invisible orthodontic
solution.

Fixed Brace Benefits

So Versatile

Fixed braces can address a wide range of orthodontic issues, from simple to complex cases.

Consistent Treatment

Because they’re permanently fixed to your teeth, treatment progresses 24/7.

Suitable for All Ages

Fixed braces are an excellent option for children, teenagers, and adults alike.

You’ll never Lose Fixed Braces

Unlike removable aligners, you won’t have to worry about losing or misplacing fixed braces.
