What happens at your first visit?
When you first see one of our dentists, they will perform an inspection of your mouth, teeth and gums. This will help to build a picture about your dental and your general health. The assessment will include counting your teeth, checking for fillings and checking on the health of your gums. At this stage you may discuss any specific concerns or queries with our dentists, and we may direct you to book another appointment relating to a specific type of treatment.
At your first visit we will also take X-Rays of your teeth. This is a harmless procedure and forms a vital part of your dental records. X-Rays help to build up the picture of your dental health and will show up any possible problems that may not have been identified at your initial assessment. This may include oral infections, gum disease, cavities and any oral tumours.
